Zira is the main antagonist of The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, a fierce lioness and the leader of the exiled group still loyal to Scar. Deeply devoted to him, she was determined to see her youngest son, Kovu, become Scar’s rightful heir.

This is my first model of a character who isn’t human or even humanoid. And really... who doesn’t love Zira? Sometimes, hairless bipedal primates get a bit overrated. It’s refreshing to work on something different for a change, something with fur, claws, and four powerful legs.

Oh, and yes, the model was trained using 1000 frames taken directly from the movie. No fan art, no outside material. So accuracy? Pretty much spot-on.
