This is my custom SDXL model, a merge of Nova Anime XL and WAI NSFW Illustrious SDXL, with a focus on anime-style visuals.

Background

Initially, I merged Nova Anime XL v12 with WAI NSFW Illustrious SDXL v15, resulting in the Nowai 12.15 model, which I previously shared on my Civitai page. However, that version leaned too heavily toward a realistic style, which wasn't what I aimed for. I recalled that Nova Anime XL v5b had a distinct and beautiful 2D anime style, so I decided to merge Nowai 12.15 with Nova 5b to see if I could achieve a better balance.

About This Model

The result is this model, which offers a vibrant 2D anime aesthetic. However, it’s not perfect—details can be inconsistent and may require additional tweaking. I use this model with my custom detailer workflow in ComfyUI to enhance the output. If you’re not experienced with handling detail-related issues, this model might not be the best fit for you.

Notes for Users

• Intended Use: This model is primarily uploaded for personal storage on Civitai. However, I’m happy for others to try it out!

• Recommendation: For best results, pair it with a detailer workflow in ComfyUI or similar tools to address minor imperfections.

• Not for Beginners: If you’re not familiar with fixing detail issues, you might want to stick with more polished models.
