Why are they all girls?:
The dude version feels bad for civitai because a guy in a cheerleading outfit looks like a girl without a chest or hips, so it was either girl or old man haha. You can make the normal dude Link wear the outfit though! Just prompt him as 1boy instead of 1girl.

Saw this outfit was a thing while creating the Link LoRA so just went for it.
Quirks:
Pom-poms are yellow ~30% of the time instead of the intended pink.
You need to prompt for the eye color otherwise you get red. Also, I unthinkingly prompted them green instead of blue.... Sorry Link fans haha

Yes and no. I thought the same but there is a lot of girl Link art out there and it's noticeably different haha. Also, there's the easy joke of copying the gaming and going with the Hyrule Warriors as a name haha
