From Plastic Nee-san: Honami, nicknamed “Noppo.”
Nee-san: “It’s useless, Himikawa. Noppo is a bad Noppo today…”
From Chapter 218, “Donburi-chic.”
Honami is Nee-san’s childhood friend and classmate. She isn’t fazed by aliens, supernatural phenomena, or just about anything else. And her past is seriously messed up.
“Noppo” is a Japanese nickname meaning “tall one” or “the tall girl.” It comes from the Japanese word noppo (のっぽ), a casual term for a tall person, especially someone noticeably taller than those around them. So “Noppo” is less like a conventional given name and more like a teasing, descriptive nickname, similar to calling someone “Tall Girl” or “Longlegs” in English.
