A simple greeble heightmap generator trained on a bunch of images created with Displacement X.
Displacement X is basicly an online JSPlacement clone. https://displacementx.vercel.app
Since this all originally came from Windmillart, I suggest to consider supporting him. https://ko-fi.com/windmill

I suggest using a tile function:

first version. doesn´t seem to need any improvement. It won´t really get better than this. But I consider making a normal map version as well.

Awesome! This is interesting! :)
thank you. I am still learning. I am trying to achieve more abstract and technical stuff. I guess there are already enough realistic characters and cinematic models. I am coming from 3D-design and VFX production.
Currently working on a 3D fractal dataset. SDXL is such a powerful tool to play around with
@sickllizardVFX Me too, I am a VFX artist using Houdini, used JSplacement many times!!
Might even be useful! I do 3D in C4D and first started playing with SD to make texture maps. Wish I could afford Houdini too... but the time it'd take to learn it vs the few times I'd get to use it professionally just don't add up.
@olivetty @parallelepipedon I suggest a small tool called "NMKD Stable Diffision GUI"
I´s complete standallone and runs offline. It´s sluggish slow but it let´s you make seamless, tileable images with a checkbox
@parallelepipedon Well I just switched my workflow entirely to do it in C4D. I now a lot of people say that for Houdini you can't be "quick and dirty" like in C4D but honestly, the updates that have been coming since H18 have made it more user-friendly and approachable! I am actually finishing a job in C4D right now and it is such a pain using it if there are more things going on than shiny spheres. Laggy and crashy and weird license check integration - not to talk about the very slow save and auto-save when files are bigger than a few megabytes! But each to his own of course, all depends on what you do I guess! I use Houdini for motion graphics!
