Kuro vs. Luffy, Final Battle!" of the anime series we learn how the Usopp Pirates were formed and how young Usopp lost his mother to illness. Trained with screencaps of that episode. Both outfits look similar and sometimes you get the print of the Usopp Pirate's symbol on the bandana and on the tank top.
