This is a brief review of the Pony Ultra models. Since this review uses translation, some sentences may not sound natural—please bear with that.

I mainly test realistic models from SDXL, Pony, and Illustrious. Excluding Ultra v1, v2, and v3 (which are SD models), I compared Ultra v4 through v11. The prompt was for generating an image of a Japanese woman sitting on a stool and taking a photo.

First, v4 and v5 produce very similar images. I prioritize how naturally East Asian women are rendered, and v4 feels more natural in that regard. v5 has deeper, more saturated colors compared to v4.

In v6, there's no built-in VAE, so you have to add one separately, which results in very intense colors. Also, the woman doesn't look East Asian at all.

v7 starts looking East Asian again, with lighter colors than v6, but there's a yellowish tint to the images.

v8 improves on v7 with more natural colors.

v9 recaptures the feel of v4: the East Asian woman looks properly East Asian, and the colors are natural.

v10 feels like an upgrade in color and detail, but the woman no longer looks East Asian. In terms of quality, I think this is the best version.

For v11, honestly, I can't tell what's improved or advanced.

So, the versions I'd pick are: v4, v9, v10.

The ones I personally consider failures: v6, v11.

If I had to choose just one, it'd be v10— it gives the best overall results.

Of course, this is a highly subjective evaluation, so take it as reference only.
