NowaiRX is an SDXL merge checkpoint that I am currently focusing on and actively refining.
After extensive testing with various merges based on Homosimile, Nova v5.5, and Kage (Illustrious), I noticed that many results gradually leaned toward:
Heavy semi-realistic styles, or
Over-simplified outputs that lost stylistic identity
Because of that, I decided to re-center my work around my original style preferences, using a cleaner and more controllable merge setup.
🔹 What is NowaiRX?
Nowai = Nova + WAI, two checkpoints I am very familiar with and frequently use
RX:
R: uses WAI’s CLIP and VAE, which fits my prompting habits and gives more consistent results
X: Xavier, chosen for its strong control over anatomy, body structure, and shading
Nowai is also one of my older checkpoints, and I will continue maintaining the Nowai line alongside this version.
🎨 Style Direction
NowaiRX is designed with a clear target in mind:
Young male characters
A masculine appearance
Moderate musculature (not overly bulky or slim)
Clearly anime-oriented, avoiding semi-realistic drift
Easier control over poses, body balance, and expressions
This model is still under active testing, and feedback is highly appreciated to help improve future versions.

As an artist, I am completely immersed in the subject matter of Young male characters, masculine appearance, and Moderate musculature for the reason that,
for example, in any app like Toon Boom Harmony, you can create a 100% controllable character,
but this is a lot of work over the course of several days,
while in AI, it’s the opposite: a character can be created in a few hours, but making it controllable 100% will take more than one week.
