Henri Huang, better known as Meanstreak, is a mutant superhero in Marvel Comics' 2099 imprint, distinguished by his superhuman speed and technological expertise. He first appeared in X-Men 2099 #1 (October 1993), created by writer John Francis Moore and artist Ron Lim. Originally a brilliant researcher and media pirate contracted to the powerful corporation Alchemax, Huang was liberated from an unbreakable employment agreement by Xi'an Chi Xan, who recruited him into a new incarnation of the X-Men. Endowed with the mutant ability to achieve near-Mach speeds, accompanied by enhanced reflexes, stamina, endurance, and accelerated cognitive processing, Meanstreak also excels as a hacker capable of breaching advanced security systems.

As a core member of X-Men 2099, Meanstreak served frequently as the team's tactician and reconnaissance specialist, participating in numerous missions while avoiding direct combat when possible. He contributed to operations such as recruiting Bloodhawk, exonerating Xi'an from accusations of assassinating Noah Synge, and confronting corporate threats like the Rat Pack and the Floodgate. His personal ties deepened through friendships, notably with Jordan Boone (later Halloween Jack), prompting temporary departures from the team to locate his missing ally and leading to complex alliances, including a brief partnership with the trickster Loki in Las Vegas.

Meanstreak's later arcs involved defending Halo City, a mutant sanctuary under President Doom's influence, and addressing anomalies in regions like the Las Vegas Zone. He attempted to stabilize deteriorating mutants through cryogenic measures and maintained a protective role amid rising threats. Though he appeared to perish in X-Men 2099 #34 (1996), subsequent appearances in titles such as 2099: World of Tomorrow suggested survival or resurrection, reinforcing his enduring commitment to mutant welfare in the dystopian future of Earth-928.
