After a few tests, I took some comparison shots. The style works well for making faces look a bit "rounder and smoother." It also gives the image a more "glossy" look.
In my opinion, I achieved the best results with a strength between 0.3 and 0.5 in simple images. If you use excessive backgrounds it acts very nice with vegetations with a strength of 0.8.
