I kept seeing people go on about Groceries in Canada after a small deep dive into a videogame topic, and I'm not sure where the groceries are 'unlivable', looking at the twitter threads they're lost in a world where everything isn't is, and everything that is, isn't.

I started that rabbithole looking at various posts in regards to Highguard and who 'wanted' the game to fail based off a twitter post that showed up in a video. Ended up on alt-right Canada.

That led me to a lot of racism, a lot of anti-trans stuff, and then one thing that I do know very well.

Various political postings about grocery prices. But I checked from when I last bought it, and it's still the price as of this second. Superstore Canada Chicken Drumsticks, $17 CAD before tax, 5 kilograms. That's 11 pounds of chicken for ~12.50 USD.

Like, not even $100 CAD for enough boxes and you can eat all the chicken you want for an entire month.

I'm broke myself, but complaining about groceries in Canada is a skill issue, this is frozen chicken, 5 kilograms that'll last a single person like 4-5 days if it's all they eat for a single box, I would know because that's what I'm dieting on. If these people can't figure out how to buy groceries they really shouldn't try to voice their opinion on anything politics, let alone videogames. As far as I can see it, frozen chicken is frozen chicken here and everywhere is all from alberta and is just going to be priced the same way anywhere else here.

Sucks to suck, I guess? Learn how to buy things I guess. Twitter users are complete buffoons. If they can't even be right about the one thing that is manifestly observable, they'll lie about literally everything, like they always do.
