You might be getting some of the "bear" data getting mixed into the generations from the base models when you have the trigger word include the word "bear". That might be what causes him to look more "bara", or bigger and more like a regular bear.
You need to be careful with your trigger words, unexpected elements can be introduced when you use common words or existing tags.
I just retained him with a different trigger ("grumcare") and now looks, somehow, even more bara than before lol.
But regardless you are right, using an existing tag can be a blessing or a curse.
