The series was based on E.E. Smith's Lensman series that dates back to the 1930s. Doc Lacy is introduced in the third book titled "Galactic Patrol". He is Clarrissa's boss, and responsible for introducing Kimball to her; an action that will end up having enormous consequences over the course of the series. He admires the structure of her skeleton. Doc Lacy is later revealed to be a secret Grey Lensman, with prodigious mental powers.
The collected Lensman short stories and novels have passed into public domain and are available as free e-books on Project Gutenberg HERE.

I'm generating locally using ComfyUI.
I first create the image using my own Text-to-Image workflow.
I then use Dark Side Walker's excellent Fast Fidelity AIO workflow to do a Wan2.2 Image-to-Video pass with that image. Then I do another pass using the First-to-Last frame generation with the final frame of the first video as the start frame. Then I use DaVinci Resolve to stitch the two videos together to create a (mostly)perfect loop.
