Saly Hina was born in Kyoto, Japan, into a family with a long history of traditional martial arts. From a young age, she was taught discipline, respect, and perseverance by her grandfather, a retired kendo instructor.

She excelled in school while training in kendo, iaido (the art of drawing a sword), and kyudo (Japanese archery). Although she was quiet and reserved, she became known for her determination and calm judgment under pressure.

After university, Saly studied Japanese history and cultural preservation. She later became the director of a historical estate that had once belonged to a noble family. Because of her leadership and dedication to preserving Japanese traditions, people affectionately began calling her "the Queen"—not because she was royalty, but because she carried herself with dignity and earned everyone's respect.

Outside of work, Saly enjoys:
