IMAGINARIUM
Welcome to the Imaginarium a place where fantasy interfaces with reality, and wonder is found in every corner.
This model sets out to achieve a high level of photorealism, while also enabling creativity and exploration of concepts. It started as an offshoot of my Omnium model, incorporating it's state nearing V3. But then taking on additional training to get a very distinct look.
An imaginarium is a place devoted to the imagination, meant to stimulate all sorts of creative, spiritual or even scientific endevours. SDXL offers a brilliant springboard to achieve exactly this, and with this checkpoint I hope to offer a premium experience of what SDXL has to offer.
I am delighted to see what impressive imaginative imagery you will all conjure forth inside the Imaginarium.

Another description full of drivel that doesn't really say anything. "while also enabling creativity," seems to be code for "the model won't really produce photorealism."
That's not what it meant to convey, but you may feel free to understand it as such. What I tried to communicate is that it attempts to enable creative imagery while still allowing for a photorealistic feel. If the model succeeds at that or not, is for each individual to decide.
@FrenzyX That is absurd. Photorealism isn't a feeling. Something either looks real or it doesn't. It is not an opinion. If it looks like a photo then it is photoreal, if it doesn't, it isn't. Period.
You're an angry little person aren't you? Have you even used it? It's very realistic. Maybe it's your prompts and settings that are garbage?
i agree with OP that the descriptions on many models nowadays are cringe af
Bad Show AlB@ - why don't you do better
The only thing absurd are Albat's comments, if you don't like the model, or you're not able to use it, that's your problem, you don't need to tell others about it.
I think it is one of the best models I have used lately, thank you FrenesiaX
@LetTheBassDrop I am not angry at all. Just disappointed in the quality of effort put in by some of these uploaders. They throw together some random merge and have ChatGPT write some lame and nonsensical description saying nothing useful at all. I haven't used it. Based on the sample images provided by the uploader, it was clear that there was no reason to download it. It claims photorealism, yet not a single photo real image was provided, nor have any been posted in the gallery. My prompts are excellent and often produce images that are nearly impossible to tell from actual photos. The key is using the better models such as PhotopediaXL, Acorn is Spinning XL_2 and realismEngineSDXL.
@AlBat the sad thing about your comments is that it's completely misplaced. Not a single word here was generated by ChatGPT or even suggested. Nor is it a 'random merge'. You are right about one thing though, it happens enough on this site. But not this model, nor by me.
@FrenzyX Even more sad is if that drivel was NOT generated by ChatGPT.
@AlBat About your answer to @FrenzyX about photorealism. I remember watching Independence Day at the time and thinking that the FX had become really photorealistic. Then I saw the film again 15 years later and saw how visible and "badly" integrated the CG was. Photorealism is in fact an opinion based on your perception, and this perception can vary from one person to another depending on their upbringing and experience of images.
@Utji Just because you were wrong about Independence Day doesn't mean it was an opinion. The effects looked good for the time, but in no way did it look real. Your perception was flawed. You can have an opinion on if you like it or not, but the reality is that something either looks real or it looks fake. If a person has bad eyesight and can't tell when something is obviously fake, that doesn't mean the fake thing is actually real, it just means they are unable to see correctly.
@AlBat All I was pointing out is that we don't all have the same education in image reading. As you yourself say, "The effects looked good for the time." So, you acknowledge that the perception of what "looks good," in other words, what appears realistic enough to deceive our perception, is a matter of the era and not a timeless concept for which you've given us the eternal key.
You denigrate the work of others, and it's your right since it's your opinion. But the way you do it is far too harsh to be constructive. It looks more like you're trying to hurt others by belittling them. But, don't worry, you can afford it. After all, you are the best. No need to be polite, friendly or sensitve because you're not expressing your opinion, you're stating what is the truth. It's the truth that's mean.
So don't waste your time replying to me, I won't continue our conversation; take what you want from this message.
@Utji I didn't denigrate anyone's work. I simply pointed out the inaccuracy of it. It is not constructive to blow smoke up someone's ass and say something is better than it is to try to be nice. People work to make things better when they know what the shortfalls are, not when everyone says it's perfect. My criticisms of the model have not been harsh at all. I only criticize the misleading claims made by the uploader. The model looks fine overall to produce semi-realistic images. It just isn't good at actual realistic images.
This has thus far been the best SDXL model I've used. It's super responsive to most of my prompts and I don't even use much in my negatives at all.
I am really happy to hear that. Thank you! :)

Discussing the model is the entire point of the Discussion section. If this is one of the best models you have used lately, you probably need to look around a bit more unless what you are looking for is results that look very fake.
Do not judge a book by its cover. That takes only a few seconds or minutes to test this model via the onsite generator. ''detailed skin texture, skin bump, skin fuzz, vellus hair'' These words will give nice results in your prompts. Overall this models gives very good photorealistic images. Just remember that your prompt does the job... if you get bad results, your prompt is the main culprit. Words like ''feverish'' will give you weird wet skin effects. subsurface scattering'' or ''transluscent skin'' will have a serious impact as well, so be sure to weight these down... Anyway, this is a really good model, worthy of being downloaded, used and overused. Thank you for this wonderful gift, FrenzyX! ^^
PS: use the DPM++ 2M Karras sampler family, not Euler a
Very glad you are enjoying my model. I am very happy with how it came out, and I can tell others are enjoying it as well, where there is light there is bound to be shade.
@FrenzyX I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what can be done with this beast when it's tamed. Exploring its possibilities is really stimulating! Keep up the good work! I love Artium too btw. :)
@oliviervinet050670 thank you! Really happy with Artium, especially v2 as well. Glad you are liking my models. Seeing people create beautiful images inspires me to do better each and every time I release a new model.
thanks @oliviervinet050670 the tips help a noob out. Question, ... do you use negative prompts much? How many steps do you use with DPM++ 2m arras? And why DPM++ 2m arras vs the DPM++ SDE Karras?
@me159 About negative prompts: the real question is: what is it for? Do you need it or not. Well, that depends! ^^ I use it to prevent some stuffs from happening, especially regarding lighting, unwanted textual elements or sometimes emotional states. The use of both pos and neg prompts in that regard is very useful as it allows you to convey complex feelings on your subject.
Now on the Steps and CFG values matter...
There is no magical setting that will do the job for everything. You need to adapt these values to what you are after. For example, to get a nice convincing drawing effect, you need to kill the photorealism and destroy a lot of informations. Very low Steps value will do just that.
On the other hand, if you want something more real or smooth, increase the Steps. Just don't go too up high: it'sd useless interms of quality and will just consume power.
The CFG is another interresting factor to play with. Higher values will get you more contrast but also potentially create more problems for the AI to solve, sometimes to a point where you will get very bad results, so careful with that axe Eugene as they say in Ummagumma land.
A low CFG gives more flexibility and creativity to the AI, less contrast as well. 4-7 for realism works usually fine, 1.5-2.5 can be very interresting for non realistic renders such as drawing effects.
Lastly, there are some new models that use Turbo and LM, these are totally different things that are designed to work with low cfg and steps and still give nice realistic results with a very high calculation speed.
@oliviervinet050670 excellent explanation of negative prompts. I feel way too many people treat them like some sort of magic spell, copy and pasting certain sets of negative prompts as if they will always ward off ugly pictures no matter what model or workflow they're using.
My new favourite model, by far!
Amazing work, thank you
You are welcome, glad you are enjoying it! :)
Crazy good model. Takes into account even the most random words and combinations. You have to be really careful with your prompting.
Tested a few older prompts and it just works where other models struggled hard. Was able to take out a lot of negatives.
If there was still an Inquisition i would call you out for witchcraft.
Haha. Thank you :)
Are images generated using this model is commercially free ? like I can sell the images anywhere?
You can check it yourself under the model information, all models on CivitAI have this data listed. I am curious though where would you sell these images?
@FrenzyX Just a thought: to use this as a design tool. I am not an active online seller. I wanted to ask you before I do something. BTW This is the best model I have ever used. Thank you so much for your reply.
You are welcome and thanks a lot for the compliment
