This is an Illustrious lora for backgrounds in the style of the nation of Stygia from the Conan the Barbarian. Stygia is a nation of dark sorcerers that worship the demon God Set. The nation is a faux ancient Egyptian nation where all the gods are like evil versions of the ancient Egyptian Gods that many know about the real Egypt. It was made using pictures from the cartoon, video game screenshots, and official artwork showing locations, cities, and landscapes.

The world of Conan the Barbarian, according to the lore, is not on some alternate universe or on some other planet, but in the very deep dark past. The map of the world roughly looks like what Earth looked like 40 to 50 million years ago right around when India was crashing into Asia and for some time had an inland sea that later became the Himalayas. During that time, Stygia would of been located around the region of Gabon and the Congo and far east as far as Lake Tanganyika.

The nation of Stygia had a northern border created by the River Styx which went from the sea and almost immediately turned south. When the wet times turned dry in the days leading up to the age of ice due to an ice age, the river dried up and the only part left is the left section that created Lake Tanganyika. There is another part of the river that goes due south in the middle of the nation that leads to a lake. Much of Stygia is desert with the western coastline having a dense forest and many islands. The River Styx made a good defensive border due to how wide it is.

Stygia is said to have a total population of 2,100,000. Their allies are the nations Kush, Turan, Zembabwei. Their enemies are the nations Shem, Darfar, Keshan. Stygia's resources are Gems (lapis lazuli, fine quartz), medicines and charms, bronze, ivory, pearls, skins, and slaves from the Black Kingdoms. Imports include cattle, grain and other agricultural products. Stygia is a bronze age culture.

Their religions focuses mostly on the serpent God Set, a combination of the ancient Egyptian God Set and the demon of chaos Apothis. Set is said to be the source of magic in the Conan universe. Other important deities are Harakht, a hawk deity resembling an evil Horus. Harakht is fiercely loyal to Set and serves as Set's spy and assassin. Derketo is the goddess of death and pleasure, a bit like a cross between Isis and Nephthys. And there is also Ibis, the main rival and enemy deity of Set, and is otherwise known as the Egyptian deity Thoth.

The main cities of Stygia are Khemi (its main port town on the ocean and religious priestly capital with 550,000 people), Luxor (the capital and the royal city with 200,000 people), Keshatta (city of magicians on the coast south of Khemi with 70,000 people), Harakht (city of the hawk God Harakht, located between Khemi and Luxor and protected by giant hawks, population 86,000), Sukhmet (a caravan and slaver city in the south that borders the borders where Kush and Darfar border Stygia, population 34,000), and the cities Pteion and Kuthchemes in the far east (Pteion being a cursed abandoned city and Kuthchemes being a city that was conquered and destroyed by the nation of Shem).

There are other minor unimportant named cities such as the city of Set, Sekan, Rashto, Thuran, Okeshatta, Attalu, and the Holy City Without a Name.

Other rivers in Stygia include Viper River, Rakar River, Jelusa River making up the southern border. Other notable locations are Lake Zoar near the city of Sekhmet and fed by Jelusa River that runs through it, The island of Akhbet on the coast and the Isle of Siptah just south of Akhbet. The Isle of Siptah is the same island from the video game Conan Exiles, and would be roughly where Sao Tome and Principe is currently located if the lore is real.

A weight of 1 to 1.5 works well with this with most models. Sampling Steps of 15 to 35 works well with most models, as does a CFG Scale of 3.5 to 7.5.

Prompts for this lora are ( Styg1a, background, dark fantasy, ).
