Original name: Rozetta (Rosalina).

As a child, Rosalina discovers an old spaceship and meets a sentient star, Luma.

Luma asks for help finding his mother. Together, they set off on a journey through space.

Over time, Rosalina and Luma meet other Lumas (stars), but the search for Luma's mother is fruitless.

Rosalina creates the Comet Observatory, a space station with powerful telescopes for observing galaxies.

She becomes an adoptive mother to Luma and all the lonely Lumas she encounters.

She meets Mario when Bowser kidnaps Peach and hides her in the center of the galaxy. Rosalina helps Mario in exchange for the return of the kidnapped or lost Lumas, which increases the observatory's power.
