White Rhinoceros (Japanese: シロサイ, 白犀, Shirosai; Scientific name Ceratotherium simum) is a mammal Friend from the Kemono Friends series. Shirosai is a gallant and honourable warrior, protective of her friends. Like her animal archetype, she has a gentle disposition, but is fearsome when roused to fight. She is highly skilled with her horned lance.

Fun kemono fact: The white rhinoceros does not actually get its name from its color. It originates from a mistranslation of the Dutch word "wijd", which means "wide" in English. The word "wide" refers to the width of the rhinoceros's mouth. An alternative name for the white rhinoceros, more accurate but rarely used, is the square-lipped rhinoceros.
