Inspired by this bounty, this LoRA was created to showcase 1970s adult Italian comics (fumetti) covers. Covering themes including sex, violence, and horror, the shocking rawness of these covers called back to the pulps of the 1930s.

This first version is dedicated solely to the work of Alessandro Biffignandi. In addition to the hundreds of fumetti covers he painted in the 1970s, Biffignandi's long career included work on comic strips, film posters, book covers, and magazine illustrations. Future versions of this LoRA will expand to include other talented artists whose worked graced fumetti covers during the same period including Emanuele Taglietti, Pino D'Angelico and more.

Recommended Settings

CFG: 4-7
Steps: 25-35
Sampler/Scheduler: DPM++ 3M SDE Exponential or similar
Checkpoint: It should work on a wide variety of checkpoints, but I've had especially good results with Juggernaut (SD1.5) Reborn

Clipskip: 1

Strength/Weight: 1

Prompt Keywords to try:

• Alessandro Biffignandi

• 1970s or a late sixties/early seventies year e.g. 1973

• oil painting or gouache painting

• beautiful woman (nsfw results)

• horror

• action and dynamic pose

• illustration collage to increase chance of multiple images, a signature part of the style

• overall, it generally works better with shorter prompts

Negatives:

• if the positive prompt is not long it can work great with no negative.

• cgi and 3d - try with and without these. While heavily stylized, these covers are based in realism and accurate anatomy; using these keywords brings out the brushstrokes but can make the output too "comic booky" for some.

• text and signature - not foolproof, but avoid the comic name masthead and an artists signature

• NSFW, etc - this is an adult LoRA, use negative prompt to tell it not to show nudity, blood, etc.
