Weddies, or Wetlings as the official English manga would have you believe, are a water-dwelling race from Dragon Quest X. They are a sensitive race that who place great importance on poetry and song. Their bodies are elegant, graceful and suited for both swimming and walking.

Despite both being water-dwelling races, Weddies should not be confused with mermaids! While Weddies closely associated with water, they still breath air, as such they can potentially drown.
