6.46 GB is the smallest that XL checkpoints seem to go unfortunately... :/
A bit late
But models are usually shared in fp16 but certain webuis can load it in int8
Eg: webui forge, the file size stays the same but uses less vram if that is your concern.
There is also stable-diffusion-cpp which supports gguf/ggml checkpoints but quantized sdxl checkpoints are rare.
