Built by the bumbling inventor Dr. Senbei Norimaki in the whimsical world of Penguin Village, Arale was supposed to be the "perfect human replica". Instead, she turned out completely nearsighted (requiring her trademark specs) and utterly devoid of basic human common sense. To blend in, Senbei passes her off to the villagers as his younger sister, a cover story that somehow works—despite her routinely running at supersonic speeds, throwing massive boulders, and literally cracking the Earth in half with a casual playground punch.

Pure Heart, Ridiculous Power

Arale's personality is defined by pure, unadulterated naïveté and energetic innocence. She treats the entire world as a game, greet people with a cheerful "N'cha!", and spends her free time poking cartoonish pink poop with a stick. Because her heart is entirely pure, she can even ride Goku's Flying Nimbus (Kinto'un) during her famous crossover appearances in the Dragon Ball series.

She is the ultimate gag-manga powerhouse: completely unstoppable, endlessly joyful, and always rocking her signature "ARALE" winged cap.
