It is peculiar to me that from my understanding Quebec and Alberta are in a political arms race to be the worst province in the nation for Trans Rights.
With Alberta I kind of understand it's because the sect pushing that are evangelical Christians who think they're American, and literally want to succeed from the country and join America; For some oblivious reason they want to take British Columbia with them? That's just suicidal, we'd rather invade Alberta and do a [redacted], than join the ongoing humiliation ritual with those idiots down south who we're winning an economic, cultural, and spiritual war against without even trying.
Don't even get me started on Americas continuous sideshow bob stepping on rakes, I'll die laughing before I finish.
It's not even just us, their local indigenous leaders are accusing them of treason.
That's a heavy charge, and you do -not- want to pick a fight with the one group in Canada that votes as a unified bloc; The punishment for treason is death in all nations.
Quebec though? What's going over there? What could they have a fight to pick with trans people over? French Canadians in Vancouver have always been sweethearts, I've dated one or two in the past, but then again they're here and not there.
I wonder what the ongoing war against trans peoples flavor of the month argument even is this time, virtually all conservative arguments on the topic have been thoroughly debunked. You can only compulsively lie for so long before people just look up and do a cursory thing about your talking bouts, additionally with characters like Dave Chappel having made people sick of hearing about people just abuse trans people.
That is kind of a nice thing of Dave's hate campaign, that he went from being one of the most highly regarded comedians into basically just a white supremacist alt-right puppet; And his legacy is kind of making people tired of comedy in general.
That's kind of an ongoing thing too, 'make comedy legal again'. Well you bigots completely killed comedy entirely, I can't remember the last time I saw a comedian that was remotely funny, but maybe that's just American comedy.
American Comedy is just 'racism is fun and freedom of speech to say the n-word'. From what I've seen of Austin Texas Comedy. Maybe it was edgy at first, but now it's boring. -You're boring-.
It is a bit perturbing to me how ineffectual the left wing of this equation seem to be, I'm not exactly sure what they're supposed to do, but the right-wing are basically on a walk of shame and downward spiral into irrelevance; Somehow they hold all the institutional power in places but have no cultural sway at all other than getting laughed at and beaten up publicly or just arrested for starting fights they lose.
