Aberrant adds that visceral, wrong feeling you get when flesh meets industry and neither survives intact. It brings in body horror, exposed machinery, rusted improvisation, and dark industrial grit without overpowering the original subject. At lower strengths it just adds dirt, scars, and mechanical undertones, giving characters a rough, worn edge. Higher values push things into full biomechanical nightmare territory: chests pried open with spinning gears inside, limbs replaced by rigged prosthetics, organic tissue fused with rusted metal, blood and steam mixing in equal measure. Works for monsters, cyborgs, possessed creatures, post-apocalyptic survivors, grotesque experiments, horror portraits, and any image that needs to feel corrupted, broken, or built from the wrong materials. Try with values from 0.25 to 1.5.
