The term "Shunga" literally means "spring pictures" and refers to a type of traditional Japanese erotic imagery, usually in the form of woodblock prints and paintings. Shunga artworks were primarily created during the Edo period (1603–1868) in Japan.

Try not to mix it with 'realistic' or other styles. The original sources are old woodcarvings, and accordingly, the style is quite explicit.
