Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl is a children’s series created by Ellis Kaut, first released in 1962. It centers on Pumuckl, a childlike kobold (goblin) who becomes visible to Franz Eder, a master carpenter in Munich, after getting stuck to Eder’s glue pot. According to “kobold law,” Pumuckl must now stay with this human.

• From 1965 onward, book adaptations were published.

• In 1982, a television series titled Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl aired, followed by a feature film of the same name.
