Masayo Hyuga is the mother of Kojiro Hyuga, the famous “Fierce Tiger” from Captain Tsubasa. She is a single mother who raised four children (Kojiro, Takeru, Naoko and Masaru) after the death of her husband. She always struggled with financial and health difficulties, working hard to support her family, although Masayo did not want Kojiro to carry too much responsibility. She unconditionally supports his eldest son in his football career. During the World Youth arc she collapsed from overwork and was hospitalized, but recovered. Thanks to Kojiro becoming a professional football player in Italy, the family situation improved and she was able to live more peacefully.
