@CitronLegacy A whole week?! I don't blame you to be honest lol, I'll be going around the world like it was my first time all over again, just taking it all in, listening to every music track in each new area, watching the monsters and NPC's doing their thing :).

Majora's Mask would be insane with these graphics though, OoT is a classic, no doubt, but i've always loved MM a little more because of the uneasy feeling the world and music give me and the aesthetics are great.

I never considered Twilight Princess too though, I have the OG Gamecube version (where Link is left-handed and the world isn't flipped like the wii version) and a limited edition leather-bound lorebook for it, a seriously underrated entry in my book :P

My heart is just overflowing right now.

OoT is all that is Right And Good in the world. ....and it's coming to meeeeeeeeeee XOXOXOOXOOOOOO

@CitronLegacy Exactly, OoT is the one that started it, MM is the son who learned it all from it and improved on it! 

I really wanted the limited edition 3DS with the black/gold color scheme but couldn't find it at the time, now they go for 4-500 boxed! Midna is a great companion, who wouldn't want a sassy little imp who lives in their shadow, she's far better than Navi at least, i wonder if they're going to improve her dialogue in the remake?

I like the look of that Anniversary edition switch though, not as stylish as the 3DS mind, but i might have to price that when it comes out!

I'm obsessed with MM as OoT's deeper 'n darker twin. It's got so many feels, such an emotional and deeply touching world and story. (still makes me cry...)

But it still doesn't reach OoT's heights, both 'cuz the grand EPICness of OoT, and 'cause I'm totally nostalgia-biased ^_^)

P.S. i'm really nervous about the New And Improved Navi (tm). Scared it'll ruin my nostalgia, be a different Navi. But for some reason Midna is a different thing in my books, and I agree with you I'm crossing my fingers hoping they'll amp up her dialogue.

I loved ToTK, but I had a lot of issues with it. Among other things, frankly it scared me what they sunk their craft into -- they spent their years-long dev on building on top of the same game engine a mindblowingly badass physics+science model... which is cool, yeah don't get me wrong, but it just isn't part of the ingredients of Zelda for me. I wondered if Nintendo had lost track of Zelda's soul.

But, seeing where they're sinking their care and craft in these OoT peeks, i feel much reassured.

P.S....except for Navi. I'm so scared! don't touch Navi ;)

@ravemry9 Just a bit of variety for Navi would be such an improvement. Give her dialogue that refers to the area you're in, and remember that she's new to the world as well as Link, make her curious about stuff, you know?. Anything apart from 'Hey! Listen! Go to this temple, i'll remind you again in two minutes, k?'

and don't get me wrong OoT was pure epicness and a true classic, i'll never forget the time i plugged that cartridge in, turned it on and just sat there at the title screen for far too long, watching and listening, There's just something about MM's atmosphere and setting, seeing it change day by day, along with learning peoples routines and stories was just so well done. Not to mention that damn moon coming closer and closer. ＼(º □ º l|l)/

@NeilSylver Yeah, you're making a lot of sense. I think if I'd be capable of shifting out of my emo state at the moment, I'd even (shocking:)agree with you.

I'm just stuck in nostalgia-mode, news like this will do that to me.

Also, I just have such a hard time wrapping my mind around Navi being, you know, a real thing :D and still OoT being the same game. Which i guess proves your point about how much a non-entity she was, ha. But... but still.

y'know what, this convo has actually swayed me, I think MM actually has more to gain from a remake and visual upgrade than OoT. MM is all about the vibes+hard-hitting emotions, and a sleeker visual experience will definitely sharpen that. Unlike ooT, which is a epic story+adventure, and while it'll def be good to play an upgraded version, I don't think the core game depends on that axis.

@ravemry9 Glad to have swayed your opinon :) I know what you mean about the nostalgia though, as i said earlier, i played the 3DS versions too, and while the upgraded graphics were good there they felt a little... off to me for some reason. The remake is hitting all the right spots from what i saw (and heard) in the trailer though.

Not just the moon in MM though (though i would probably let it fall ASAP just to see that game over sequence remade :o ), imagine the mask transformations too! They damn near traumatized me back then and make me uneasy to this day, I can't imagine how unsettling they'd be with modern graphics.

@CitronLegacy Princess Ruto all the way for me. The tsundere turned deredere monster girl who actually showed unarguable interest in Link (not counting Nabooru and her 'Will you go through this tiny hole and get a treasure that's inside?' :P)

Saria had the childhood friend vibe, Zelda the shared duty vibe. Malon is probably the right pairing though, between their bonding over Epona and the fact it makes sense for Link to be with her over an actual Princess, and as you mentioned, it repeats in Majora's Mask with Romani which definitely counts for something considering she's the only 'main girl' who gets an expy in that game.

We should all probably expect an updated version after your 'holiday' though, right? :P

@CitronLegacy I'll definitely look forward to that then. I do like when games include a photo/screenshot option (or you use a freecam mode on PC), played around a lot with the Final Fantasy Remakes one, probably spent more time with that then i did playing the game lol.
