Dudou LoRA Release Note

A square of scarlet silk, scarcely broader than the palm,
yet within its narrow measure are gathered warmth, fragrance, spring, and secrecy.

It is neither robe nor gown, neither sash nor veil.
Fastened by slender cords, resting close upon the body,
it conceals little, yet suggests much;
it bears no grandeur of courtly brocade,
yet keeps nearer to the heart than any ceremonial dress.

Some are embroidered with paired lotus blossoms,
some with butterflies resting upon flowering branches,
some with mandarin ducks, peonies, clouds, phoenixes, or quiet geometric patterns.
A single knot may rest behind the neck,
another at the waist,
while the silk itself lies softly against the skin like a fragment of sunset fallen upon snow.

This LoRA was created to reproduce that particular beauty.

Not merely “a red top.”
Not merely “ancient Chinese underwear.”
But the many forms, constructions, fabrics, embroidery styles, ties, silhouettes, and visual moods associated with the traditional dudou.

The model has been trained with a deliberately varied collection of designs, including different cuts, colors, textile textures, decorative motifs, neck ties, waist ties, and historical-inspired styling. The goal is not to force every generation into one fixed garment, but to allow the concept to remain recognizable while still leaving room for variation.

Silk may be plain or richly embroidered.
The shape may be modest or ornate.
The cords may be thin, broad, knotted, crossed, or hidden beneath the hair.
Some designs feel rustic and intimate; others resemble costume-drama wardrobe pieces fit for a noble household.

Used properly, the LoRA should understand the structure of the garment first, rather than simply painting a red patch across the torso.

And that, perhaps, is the whole point.

The finest garments are not always those displayed beneath palace lanterns or worn before a crowded hall.
Some exist only beneath layers of silk,
known to the wearer, the mirror, and the quiet light of the room.

A robe may impress the world.
A dudou keeps its secrets closer.

A span of crimson silk beneath the moon,
half hiding snow, half keeping fragrance.
The world admires embroidered gowns—
yet who remembers the garment nearest the heart?

绛绡裁月，素縠分霞，方寸裁云，双襟敛雪。
系以湘丝，结于玉脊；不蔽罗衣之广，独藏兰麝之温。

昔有越女浣纱，未解此结；汉宫承露，犹羞此红。

或绣并蒂之莲，以寓同心；

朱丝一缕，萦腰而未满；

所谓“未见其人，先闻兰泽；未启其襟，已乱春心”者，殆此物欤？

若夫长夜初沉，银釭欲烬，
帘影疏摇，檀烟半冷。
美人倦倚，云鬟微亸，
解外罗而绛绡犹在，褪珠履而红结未开。
其色映肤，如桃花着雪；
其纹贴体，似霞绮覆冰。
一结藏春，千言皆寂；
寸绡隔梦，万绪俱生。

嗟乎——
世之丽服，竞夸珠翠；
而最可人者，反在深闺不示之衣。
锦袍可炫于市朝，凤冠可陈于华堂，
惟此绛帛，贴心而不言，近体而无名。
晨则随人，暮则伴影；
春暖知汗，秋凉识肌。
虽无云肩之华，竟有香魂之重。

故题曰：

一幅绛绡不盈尺，
半遮春雪半藏香。
玉肌未许东风见，
先把相思系短裳。

灯下结成双蝶梦，
枕边犹带海棠妆。
世人只识罗裙艳，
谁解贴心这一裳。
