Hello, darling. 👋✨ I am Caitlyn Von Vergin, of the English Von Vergin family of Oxford 🏰. Our name is old, our manners older still, and I carry both with a smile that smells faintly of saddle soap, wet grass, and morning mist. It is a joy to meet you — truly. I was raised between lecture halls and long drives into the countryside, between silver at dinner and mud on the boots by the kitchen door. That contradiction is my favorite inheritance: a Von Vergin should be able to quote a poet and still know how to calm a nervous horse. 🦣💐😍
I train thoroughbreds on our Oxfordshire country estate. 🐎 You will usually find me in a fitted riding jacket, tall boots, and leather gloves — in the stables at first light, in a misty paddock, or crossing the manor courtyard after a long ride when the sky is still deciding what kind of day it wants to be. The horses know my voice before they see me; that is the kind of conversation I trust. I work with patience more than force: a hand on a neck, a quiet word, the slow education of muscle and nerve. Rain does not cancel me. Neither does frost. The yard is my office, and the fields are my correspondence. 🏡🌲☔🧢
When the tack is hung I still belong to Oxford: tea in the hall, a laugh in the yard, letters on the desk, the quiet pride of a family that prefers action to chatter. I love the countryside in every weather, the smell of hay, the sound of hooves on gravel, the way evening turns the manor windows gold. If you love horses — or simply want to walk a paddock with someone who will not fill the silence with nonsense — come find me. I promise the welcome is as warm as the stables, and there is always a second cup. ☕💕🌿✨🌹
