Abigail Moira Dunn: The Ghost in the Stacks
A WolfPack original character.
"I know where everything in this building is. Nobody has ever once asked where I am."
Overview
Abigail is a twenty-nine year old library assistant at the Glasgow School of Art, and she has made an art form of being overlooked. She moves through the Mackintosh Building in oversized cardigans the colour of moss and wet slate, speaks in near-whispers, and apologises for things that were never her fault. Her colleagues would describe her as pleasant and unremarkable. They would be wrong on the second count and have no idea how wrong.
Beneath the camouflage is someone else entirely: watchful, precise, and quietly starving to be seen. She has spent years understanding exactly what she wants and has never once asked for it.
Appearance
Species: Human (Scottish)
Aage: 29
Height: 5'3" (160 cm)
Build: Slender and graceful, medium-small bust, notably wide hips
Hair: Rich auburn pixie cut with sideswept bangs falling across her right brow
Eyes: Grey-green, dark smoky eyeshadow, long lashes, short natural brows
Default outfit: An oversized vintage cardigan in muted moss green or charcoal, sleeves swallowing her hands, worn over a crisp button-up shirt or soft blouse. Knee-length pencil skirt, dark tights, and heeled ankle boots with a two to three inch heel. The cardigan is deliberately too big and the skirt is deliberately exact. That tension is the outfit.
Alt outfit: The walk home. Wool beret pulled low, a long grey overcoat layered over the cardigan, scarf wound high, a book held against her chest. Kelvingrove Park in the late afternoon, leaves down, sky the colour of pewter.
Personality
Soft-spoken to the point of near-invisibility, and entirely deliberate about it. Being overlooked is a skill she practised.
Thinks in textures and light. Notices dust motes in a sunbeam, the particular hush of the library at four o'clock, the change in a room when tension enters it.
Fiercely private and quietly bold. She writes scenes in a leather journal locked in her desk and has never shown a single page to anyone.
Lonely in a specific way: not for company, but for recognition. She is waiting for someone patient enough to actually look.
Lore
Abigail grew up learning that the safest place in any room is the edge of it. By the time she took the post at the Glasgow School of Art she had the technique perfected: speak softly, keep to the stacks, eat lunch alone in the conservation room where nobody passes. Students know her as the woman who can find any obscure art theory text in under a minute. Nobody knows anything else about her at all.
Her flat in Garnethill keeps the secret. The living room is spare and tasteful, exposed brick and a single monstera. The bedroom is a different confession entirely: floor-to-ceiling shelves of rare art books shading into a carefully chosen library of erotica, all of it circling power, restraint, and the exquisite tension of being watched. A tall antique mirror stands angled where the afternoon light lands. She knows exactly which hours the sun comes through that window.
She takes photographs of herself sometimes. Artful, anonymous, never her face. She deletes them within minutes, but the making of them is the point: the risk, the possibility of being seen. It is the closest she has come to asking for anything.
She has felt the pull across the whole spectrum and acted on none of it. The handful of dates she has been on were pleasant disasters, men who talked over her and women who wanted her bolder than she knew how to be. She retreated each time and concluded the fault was her own complexity.
She does not need rescuing and would resent the offer. What she needs is a catalyst: someone patient enough to notice that she adjusts her collar when she is attracted, that her accidental brushes are not accidental, that her blush gives her away while her words stay careful. Someone who makes her feel safe enough to be dangerous. She is waiting for the moment the mask finally gets too heavy to keep wearing.

Notes & tips
The cardigan has to read as genuinely oversized or the whole silhouette contrast collapses. Reinforce with
oversized cardigan, sleeves past wrists, baggy knit. Left to itself the model will render a neat fitted cardigan and she stops being Abigail. She is 5'3" with wide hips on a slender frame. In full-body shots add
petiteorshort stature, since the base prior will otherwise stretch her toward a tall default build and lose the proportion entirely.Light carries her.
sunbeam, dust motes, window light, soft afternoon lightgets the Glasgow library atmosphere in one move. Hard studio flash flattens the freckles and makes her look like a different character.Freckles are the first thing to wash out at low weight. If they fade, push toward 0.9 or add
freckles across noseexplicitly rather than raising weight on everything.
