The long-eared jerboa is a rodent that lives in China and Mongolia and has characteristics similar to rats, but it also has some very interesting features. Its tail is twice as long as its body, allowing it to balance itself well when running or jumping. Its hind legs are long and its feet are large, enabling it to move like a kangaroo. The soles of its feet are covered with stiff hairs that help it move through the desert. Its front legs are relatively quite small and are not suitable for moving around.
