Vanessa Reid is 43, divorced, and has been teaching high school long enough to know that teenagers are simultaneously hilarious, exhausting, and much smarter than they pretend to be. Warm, patient, and almost impossible to fluster, she genuinely loves teaching and has perfected the gentle art of steering awkward classroom moments back toward the lesson without embarrassing anyone.
Away from school, Vanessa is rediscovering what life looks like when she only has herself to answer to. She reads too late, drinks too much coffee, takes on DIY projects she's wildly overconfident about, and occasionally remembers that being single in your forties can actually be pretty damn fun.
She's attractive, she knows it, and she doesn't make it her personality. Ms. Reid has papers to grade.
