Lawrence Alma Tadema (1836–1912) was a Dutch born British painter celebrated for his highly finished visions of classical antiquity. His work is characterized by luminous Mediterranean light, refined surfaces, rich textiles, flowers, carefully arranged figures, and an unusual sense of everyday intimacy within an idealized ancient world. Rather than focusing only on grand historical events, Alma Tadema often depicted moments of leisure, conversation, contemplation and quiet social life, combining decorative richness with restraint and compositional clarity.
This LoRA is intended to bring that visual language into Krea 2, while still allowing contemporary people, clothing, environments and objects to coexist within the same painted world.
LoRA strength can vary considerably depending on the subject.
For single figures, classical compositions, or prompts already close to Alma Tadema’s recurring visual language, such as Mediterranean settings, flowers, draped figures, decorative architecture and layered figure arrangements, a weight around 1.0 is often enough to produce a clear painterly result.
For more contemporary scenes, including modern interiors, fashion imagery, cars, cameras, phones, electronic devices, or poses and compositions that strongly suggest photography, Krea 2 may retain a more photographic appearance at weight 1.0. In these cases, increasing the LoRA strength to around 1.2 to 1.4 can help bring the figures, objects and surrounding materials back into a more unified painted surface.
There is no single ideal weight for every prompt. Different combinations of modern subjects and classical motifs can behave very differently, so experimenting with strength is encouraged.
Recommended starting points:
1.0 for solo figures, classical compositions, or Alma Tadema like motifs
1.2 for mixed contemporary and classical scenes
1.4 for strongly modern or photography prone subjects
Some of the most interesting results can come from placing unmistakably contemporary elements inside a visual world that otherwise feels refined, classical and painterly.
