Vera — Illustrious | First Release

Meet the first Illustrious release of Vera, an original adult character by LumenStudios, with dark brunette hair, wispy bangs and floral tattoos.

This version is ready to explore with portraits, casual outfits and full-body scenes. It is an initial release, with further tuning planned as I continue testing and gathering feedback.

Getting Started

• Trigger word: vera

• Compatibility: use this version with an Illustrious-compatible checkpoint.

• Training: 2,000 steps, with the original run’s epoch 10 selected for this release.

• Default LoRA strength: 1.0. The suggested range is 0.8–1.0; 1.0 is my tested preference.

The Pony and Z-Image releases are separate versions. These notes and settings apply to Vera Illustrious.

My Tested Full-Body Settings

• Sampler: DPM++ 2M Karras

• Steps: 28

• CFG: 6.5

• Clip Skip: 2

• LoRA strength: 1.0

• Face Fix: enabled, with face denoise at 0.35

These gave my preferred full-body results during testing. Treat them as a starting point: your checkpoint, framing and prompt can affect the result.

Portraits & Face Detail

Close-ups and portraits: Face Fix generally wasn’t needed in my tests. Start without it and check the image before adding a correction pass.

Full-body shots: smaller faces and eyes can be less consistent. Face Fix at 0.35 denoise helped in my testing. Check the corrected image to make sure it still looks like Vera.

Hair & Character Details

Vera’s dataset includes long loose hair, ponytails and tousled buns, with floral arm tattoos and face-framing strands. The captions use black hair, long hair, hair bun, ponytail, bangs and flower tattoo.

For more styling direction, try adding softly wavy hair, messy bun or loose face-framing strands. These are optional descriptive additions; vera remains the character trigger.

Outfits & Styling

The dataset covers a mix of casual fashion, soft loungewear, dresses and lingerie. These combinations are represented in the supplied images and captions:

• Plaid & boots: black tank tops or white crop tops with plaid pleated miniskirts, tights or knee-high socks, and ankle or lace-up boots.

• Soft knitwear: white off-shoulder sweaters with black skirts and tights; oversized sweaters with grey shorts and sneakers.

• Everyday layers: denim or varsity jackets with crop tops and denim shorts; cardigans with tank tops and jeans; graphic tees with black shorts.

• Sporty casual: hoodies, sweatpants and sneakers, plus a black sports bra and leggings outfit.

• Rompers & loungewear: a pink floral romper, a white lace-trim romper with a cardigan, and camisole-and-shorts sets in pastel colours.

• Dresses & dressed-up looks: red, pink and purple bodycon dresses, ruched details, a black glitter dress, and a black corset paired with jeans and heels.

• Lingerie: black, red and white sets, lace details, robes and stockings, plus pink and yellow variations.

These are starting points rather than a fixed wardrobe. Try new colours and combinations, and describe the clothing you want clearly.

Poses, Angles & Framing

• Framing: close portraits, upper-body compositions and full-body fashion views.

• Angles: front, three-quarter, side and rear views, including looking back over the shoulder.

• Standing poses: relaxed stances, crossed legs, one bent leg, leaning against a wall or railing, hands in pockets, a hand on the hip or a hand in the hair.

• Seated & relaxed poses: crossed legs, a bent knee, resting the head on a hand, sitting on steps or furniture, kneeling, and reclining on a side or stomach.

• Everyday actions: walking, holding a mug or drink, and holding a book.

Choose one main pose and one framing direction per prompt. A pose appearing in the dataset is useful inspiration, but does not guarantee an exact recreation.

Scenes to Explore

Training examples include plain grey studio backgrounds, warm living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and hallways; balconies and rooftop terraces; cafés, courtyards and gardens; marinas, beach boardwalks and city streets. Sunset light, warm indoor lighting and window light feature throughout the set.

Further Tuning & Feedback

Future tuning will focus on facial and eye consistency at a distance, hairstyle flexibility, and how reliably Vera follows different outfit prompts.
