LumaShift Exposure Slider
BRIGHT ↔ DARK — Exposure & Cinematic Lighting Control
One LoRA. Two Lighting Directions.
LumaShift Exposure Slider is a bidirectional LoRA created to adjust image exposure, brightness, shadows and overall lighting atmosphere.
From bright, softly illuminated photography to dramatic cinematic darkness, LumaShift gives you creative control simply by adjusting the LoRA weight.
Unlike a basic brightness filter, LumaShift can also influence shadow distribution, contrast and the overall lighting style of the generated image.
How It Works
NEGATIVE WEIGHTS — BRIGHT
Increases perceived image brightness
Produces brighter midtones and softer shadows
Creates lighter photographic atmospheres
Works well for portraits, beauty and fashion photography
Extreme negative strengths may wash out contrast and alter colors
POSITIVE WEIGHTS — DARK
Creates deeper shadows and darker environments
Enhances cinematic low-key lighting
Produces stronger tonal separation and dramatic contrast
Can emphasize textures through directional lighting
Particularly effective for moody portraits, vehicles and dark cinematic scenes

Recommended Bright Range: -0.5 to -1.5
Recommended Dark Range: +1.0 to +2.5
Experimental Dark Range: up to +5.0
These recommendations are based on visual tests. The response is not necessarily linear, and higher strengths may introduce composition changes or excessive darkness.
Best Use Cases
Portrait & Beauty Photography
Adjust brightness and shadow depth while maintaining an expressive photographic appearance.
Black & White Photography
Create elegant monochrome portraits, stronger tonal contrasts and dramatic low-key effects.
Especially effective for portraits featuring selective color accents, such as vivid blue eyes.
Cinematic & Dark Photography
Enhance moody atmospheres, dark interiors, dramatic lighting and shadow-heavy compositions.
Fashion & Luxury Editorial
Explore soft, high-key photography or sophisticated, darker magazine-style imagery.
Automotive Photography
Create glossy reflections, darker bodywork, deeper shadow areas and cinematic garage environments.

No trigger word required.
Recommended Workflow
Load a compatible Krea2 Turbo checkpoint or custom merge.
Add LumaShift Exposure Slider to your generation.
Start at -1.0 for a brighter look or +1.0 for a darker look.
Increase positive strength gradually for dramatic cinematic darkness.
Avoid excessive negative values when maintaining natural colors and contrast is important.
For controlled comparisons, keep the same seed, checkpoint, steps, guidance and resolution.
Tested Subjects
Female beauty and editorial portraits
Black and white portraits with selective blue eye color
Luxury fashion photography
Red supercar in an industrial parking garage
Neutral gray studio sphere
The strongest demonstrated effects were observed at extreme positive weights, especially for low-key cinematic lighting.
Compatibility
Designed for Krea2 Turbo workflows.
Compatibility and results depend on the checkpoint, LoRA implementation, prompt and generation settings.
Important Notes
Negative values brighten the image.
Positive values darken the image.
The dark direction is particularly effective for cinematic results.
Strengths above +2.5 may produce very deep shadows and conceal some details.
Negative strengths below -1.5 may cause washed-out images.
The LoRA may affect lighting distribution, perceived contrast and minor composition details.
This is a generative lighting slider, not a mathematically precise exposure adjustment.
