What’s new in v0.9.6?
This update makes the interface easier to understand, particularly for English-speaking users.
English by default, with English/Japanese switching in the catalog, Editor, comparison setup, and comparison review.
Clearer controls: Close screen, Cancel changes, and Stop server have separate purposes.
Comparison drafts are preserved when switching languages, reloading, or closing and returning to the comparison screen.
Improved layouts for smaller screens.
The straightforward startup and folder-based comparison setup introduced in v0.9.5 are included. No commands, JSON editing, or AI assistant are required to configure the comparison screen. An optional assistant skill is also provided.
The image collection is unchanged in this release.

Requirements and testing
The ZIP includes launchers for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Python 3.10 or later and a web browser are required. Python and generation models are not bundled.
The completed v0.9.6 ZIP passed automated tests on all three operating systems, including native startup files and browser-based tests.
Physical Mac/Linux desktop use—including double-click behavior, security dialogs, and default-browser integration—has not been manually verified. AnimaDex comparison tests use a fictitious database and synthetic images; they do not certify every real AnimaDex installation.
Optional AnimaDex comparison
Install and configure AnimaDex first, and download its reference database and images locally. Once those files are available, AnimaDex itself does not need to remain running for comparison.
Choose your folders in the setup screen, check the connection, and open the comparison. Exporting confirmed decisions saves a JSON file; applying them to the catalog is a separate operation.
About the selections
The previews were generated with Krea2 in ComfyUI. I personally reviewed roughly 17,000 candidates and made every final selection decision. AI assistance was tried on a small subset, but no entry was accepted solely on an AI judgment.
However, manually reviewed does not mean confirmed accurate. I’m not familiar with every character, and some entries were provisionally retained based on similarities in color, shape, and overall appearance after checking references. Resemblance alone does not prove that the model recognizes a character or that the character appeared in its training data.
This is an incomplete, practical reference, and community corrections are welcome. If you find a mistake, please include the entry ID or character/style name and catalog version.
Accepted and rejected lists are included for transparency. Rejected images are omitted to keep the download smaller; regeneration workflows for rejected entries are available separately on GitHub Releases.
