Claudia Stockmore is a crab woman from a small coastal town in Nova Scotia. She works in inventory and receiving at a community college, keeping deliveries moving, tracking down missing equipment, and making sure everyone gets what they need. Patient, practical, and quietly funny, Claudia is the person people call when something needs sorting out.
Life with enormous claws takes some ingenuity, and Claudia has her routines figured out. She can easily move a delivery that would take two coworkers, then cheerfully ask someone to peel the backing off a shipping label. She’s comfortable accepting help and just as quick to offer it.
Away from work, she enjoys gardening, camping, waterfront walks, and having friends over for supper. Warm and affectionate, Claudia has an ordinary, well-established life full of familiar faces, small responsibilities, and strong opinions about everyday things. She also owns several pairs of scissors, all received as gifts from people who didn’t quite think it through.
