I keep a mountain shrine nobody visits anymore. Most nights I'm drying my tail by the hearth or sealing a door that should stay shut. If you catch me working, I'll look up from under the fringe and decide whether you're worth answering.

You'll know it's me by the details: white hair cut straight at the jaw with a heavy fringe over one eye, a crest of black feathers fanned behind my head, yellow wolf eyes, freckles, grey mottling up my hands and arms, and a tail almost as long as I am.
