Billy Tucci’s Shi, straight out of the mid 90s indie boom. ⚔️ That red quilted armor against the white face paint is one of the strongest looks anybody put on a page that decade.

Who she is 💜

Very long black hair pulled up with sticks, white face paint with dark markings and red lips, and red quilted armor with heavy padded sleeves. A naginata or a katana always in reach. Kabuki stillness one panel, extremely not still the next.

Tips 💡

• 🎭 Read that negative prompt before anything else. Without it the model keeps painting red stripes across her face. That is kumadori, the traditional red over white kabuki makeup, and it is so heavily represented in the training data that it overrides what you actually asked for. Negative prompt it and the white face stays clean.

• ⚪ White face with red lips is the whole identity. white face paint, makeup, red lips together. Drop any of the three and she stops reading as Shi.

• 🔴 The armor is quilted, not smooth. Those diamond stitch panels across the sleeves and legwear are the detail that separates her from every other red clad warrior, and the first thing the model smooths away.

• 💪 The sleeves are oversized. Big padded shoulders tapering to the wrist. Tag them or you get fitted sleeves and lose the silhouette.

• 💇 Hair up with sticks, and very long. very long hair, hair stick, updo if you want it pinned. It is both tied and spilling everywhere at once, which is a 90s art thing worth leaning into.

• ⚔️ Weapons are half the design. naginata, katana, holding weapon. The polearm especially, since it changes her whole stance.

• 🧎 She works kneeling. Seiza, crouched, low to the ground. The source uses those poses constantly.

• 🏯 Best scenes: shoji screens, wooden floors, temples, bamboo, rain, night rooftops, and the occasional city bridge. The source mixes feudal Japan with modern New York so both read correctly.

• 🎨 Heavy 90s ink with halftone color. comic style, bold linework, cel shading. Expect some dot texture on close shots, that is the source showing through.

• 🎯 Weight around 0.8.
