Stretch: Long & Short of It
An SDXL Body Proportion Slider
Some people are built like basketball players. Others are built like the basketball.
Stretch lets you explore the long and short of character proportions, shifting subjects between compact, stockier forms and elongated, lankier silhouettes.
Turn it up and watch limbs lengthen, torsos stretch, and figures take on a taller, more willowy appearance. Turn it down and watch those same subjects become shorter, broader, and more compact.
From towering fashion models to pint-sized bruisers, elegant extraterrestrials to stubborn little fantasy creatures, Stretch offers a new way to change a character's silhouette without rewriting the entire prompt.
What it does
Positive weights encourage elongated proportions, longer limbs, and taller-looking silhouettes.
Negative weights encourage compact proportions, shorter limbs, and stockier silhouettes.
Intermediate weights offer subtler changes to body geometry.
Works particularly well with full-body compositions where proportions are visible.
What it doesn't do
Stretch is not a precise height measurement tool, nor does it simply resize the entire subject. The effect is proportional rather than a guaranteed change in absolute scale. Some subjects and compositions will respond more strongly than others.
Tips
Use full-body framing, uncomplicated poses, and consistent seeds to see the transformation clearly. Experiment with people, creatures, and other subjects to discover how far the concept transfers.
Life is short. Unless you turn it up.
Recommended range: Explore approximately -3 to +3 as a starting point, adjusting to suit your checkpoint and subject. Extreme weights may exaggerate anatomy or introduce unwanted changes.
