But a person caused a small fire in their sink because they poured cooking oil down it and started the garberator. I think that's how you spell it?

I mean, you really shouldn't pour any oil down your sink, or anything that coagulates from temperature, because it will just harden in your pipes and cause eventual blockage that you'll need to basically claw out.

Not even sure if even gravy is okay to do? Because gravy and and butter does get hard in the fridge.

But I remember during covid, people were like, flushing diapers down their toilets. And I don't think that's at all normal behavior, until they put the alerts in the elevator not to do that, I've never heard of anyone doing anything that strange with their toilets.

There was a lot of that, and I think we had to get rid of our compost bins entirely, and we don't compost anymore, because the building got fined like, every week for months, because people put non-compostable stuff in the compost bin.

They would explicitly say what to and not to do, and would backcharge those fines to the people doing it, because like, outside of your apartment itself, everything is under surveillance. They knew exactly who was doing it every time, but the people I guess were just willing to lose $200 over and over again instead of just.. not breaking the bylaw?

And so I think we got banned from the compost service.
