is your Bareskin model still considered current or should I replace it with the latest from this line?
sorry, I even not sure what you ask me: there is no such thing as 'current' in models but versions. I still use SDXL basic pretty often cant say its 'current', you can try with any model or version, some of them will be more skillful for task you want to use it for. this actually preferable method on many users, most recent version of 'Realistic' checkpoint is 30.0 if this what you ask.
if your question was related only to 'Bareskin' than nothing wrong with using it- it has better performance for realistic closeups, prettier, and it looks like I still have a lot to discover about Bareskin, heavily depends on workflow itself
