I watched that movie recently. It wasn't the first time I watched it but I was surprised that I haven't noticed before how beautiful Melody is. She looks like a more beautiful version of Misty if you ask me.
I agree! I haven't seen the full movie in a long time but I've watched the clips while Lora Training.
Misty is usually tomboy-ish, Melody is also a tomboy but has plenty feminine scenes making her contrast very sharply with Misty.
I also prefer long hair girls so I'm kind of biased lol
@CitronLegacy One funny thing she did was kissing Ash in the cheek in front of Misty, making her jealous. Ash can be really lucky sometimes, but his luck is to be kissed by pretty girls not to win Pokémon Leagues XD

I think its actually really fun that Ash somehow charms all these women without trying. Pokemon doesn't seem like a harem series but... maybe it secretly is?
That's the difference between Ash and Red. While Ash is busy flirting with women Red was taking down evil organizations and training on icy mountain tops.
