Hey, was not meant to be rude. Pickling is serious security concern and no one should post pickletensor files anymore. I know your file is safe, but the format itself should not exist on this site anymore.

Went ahead and actually tested to find way to convert it to safetensors.

1. https://github.com/Akegarasu/sd-webui-model-converter you can do it with this converter in webui

2. rename your .pt file to .ckpt

3. in model converter input path on the extension point to the embedding.ckpt

4. run the converter

@duskfallcrew In the model converter i linked there is batch converter too, you just have to first rename the .pt to .ckpt, which could be done with a script.

I know you don't put malicious code in it, but no scanner is 100% trustworthy. There is always chance there is a way to workaround. Keeping this format alive for unsuspecting people leaves them vulnerable for executing malicious code on their computers.

Yes i know many of the embedding tools create .pt file. But it is not huge workload to convert the ones you upload here to safetensors.

@duskfallcrew Thanks for deciding to make this safetensors. Even if yours is safe, it's not good to help people get used to using .pt files, as the comfort of using them helps malicious people spread their malware, since that format becomes "normal". It should always be abnormal so that people are confused enough to think about the source. I appreciate your helping to make .pt more "abnormal".
