" I don't pretend to be an ordinary housewife ! " - Liz Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor - Classic Movie Star series (in color)
(Born 27-02-1932 England - Died 23-03-2011 U.S.A.), was a British-American
film actress noted for her unique beauty, violet-blue eyes and her portrayals
of volatile and strong-willed women characters.
"Liz" fashioned a film career that's covered more than six decades.
She began her career as a child actress in the early 1940s and was one of the
most popular stars of classical Hollywood cinema in the 1950s. She then became
the world's highest paid movie star in the 1960s, remaining a well known
public figure for the rest of her life.
The American Film Institute named her the 7th greatest female screen legend
of Hollywood cinema.
In the glare of the Hollywood spotlight, the young actress showed she was
more than adept at handling celebrity's tricky terrain. Even more impressive
was the fact that, unlike so many child stars before and after her, Taylor
proved she could make a seamless transition from young actress to more
adult roles.
Her scandalous love life only boosted the success of her famous films.
She was the first actress to earn One million dollars for a movie role,
in "Cleopatra" (1963). She appeared on the cover of Life magazine a record
14 times (more than any other movie star), starting when she was just 15
years old. Taylor was just as famous for her many marriages (married eight
times to seven men), extensive jewelry collection, as well as her charming
good looks.
Other known interesting facts...
She disliked it when people referred to her by the nickname "Liz".
