This SDXL style LoRA generates photorealistic images inspired by the famous Miami Vice TV series (1984-1989, produced by Michael Mann). It was trained on 168 high-quality 1216x832 images extracted from the HD TV series. It essentially captures the unique aesthetics of Miami Vice: expensive Versace and Hugo Boss suits, Ray-Ban shades, pastel colors, neon lights, fancy sportscars, speedboats, palm-trees, stylish designer interiors and Art-deco architecture.

Use "MiamiVice" to trigger the LoRA.

    Recommended parameters:
    CFG: 4 or more
    Strength: 0.65
    Clipskip: 2

    Characters:
    Sonny Crockett, Rico Tubbs.

    Places:
office, city street, seaside, bar, restaurant, living room, garden, shop, etc.

    Important keywords:
neon lights, closeup, speed boat, boat, neon sign, back light, blinds, vertical blinds, man, moustache, woman, city lights, cityscape, house, building, people, phone booth, cars, harbor, etc.

    Examples:
MiamiVice, Sonny Crockett, telephone, phone booth, night, city lights, bokeh, indoors
MiamiVice, Rico Tubbs, closeup, office, neon lights, indoors
MiamiVice, Sonny Crockett, closeup, back light, office, indoors

The movie Scarface, released in 1983 (directed by Brian de Palma one year before the first season of Miami Vice) and also shot in Miami, definitely had a proto-Miami Vice look. To Live and Die in L.A., released in 1985 and directed by William Friedkin, who had previously directed The French Connection and The Exorcist, kept very similar aesthetics. Michael Mann, the producer of Miami Vice, directed Manhunter in 1986 and used the same beautiful aesthetics. I will soon release a LoRA which captures this specific look by combining photos from these different movies (and a few others) into one single LoRA.

You'll get excellent results with ZavyXL and RealVisXL and CyberRealisticXL but you should get great results with any realistic checkpoint. If needed, use ADetailer or upscale 1.5x when generating faces.

    Enjoy!

Unreal.... simply unreal... that so many of your gens of Crockett and Tubbs are coming out so real!

I'm just floored and so excited. It's not perfect, obviously, when it comes to consistency, but so many almost-lifelike results it's amazing.

I'm a diehard Miami Vice fan, never stopped watching it and still do regularly. I'm stuck watching season 1 and 2 in a loop though, can't get enough of the whole style of them and can't bring myself to watch season 3 onwards again as I associate it with the shows's slow demise which I found unbearable back in the day.

Seeing what you just achieved gives me hope that it will be possible sooner or later to convert season 3 and later to seasons 1-2 styles. And create new episodes as well by adapting scripts by Mann, Yerkovitch and others!

What I would be interested in knowing is, did you train the lora on just the first 2 seasons or the whole series? Maybe the characters from one season (because of the consistency in hair styles) and the rest of the series for backgrounds and objects?

Another, more out-there question: do you think that converting an entire season of a show into screenscaps, making a checkpoint out of all of them would allow for perfect likeness and consistency or would that be useless?

Thanks in advance for any insight you'd be willing to share!
