By the way, I see that you commented on my Joy and Sadness Together post. Unfortunately, that one got deleted because it wasn't really working how I'd like. I might give it another shot, but I'll have to do some tinkering first. To answer your question, there's been a lot of trial and error in developing these. It's not really supposed to work. For my normal LORAs, I generally use about 100-150 images. These seem to require a lot more to work properly. That somewhat limits the characters you can use because you have to have a lot of images of both of them in the same scene. They either have to be alone together, or you have to be able to crop out whoever else is in the image. Secondly, it seems to work best when the characters are distinct from each other. For example, I did Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls. That one failed miserably and I'm pretty sure it's because they're so similar to each other. They have the same face shape, hair color and complexion. This resulted in the usual mixing of traits we normally deal with making images. I'm pretty sure the AI saw them as the same character in different clothing/hairstyles.

Basically I'm a fool who got lucky. It's not supposed to work, but I tried it anyway and got it to work in some situations. To start with, you need lots of images of both characters together in the same scene. Secondly, it doesn't seem to work with every set of characters. For example, I initially tried a Dipper and Mabel and it failed horribly. I think Dipper and Mabel are too similar to each other. They've both got the same face shape, same hair color, and no real distinguishing features. The AI just saw them as the same character in different outfits/haircuts, and the result was the usual mixing of traits. It worked with Anna and Elsa, but they've got different skin tone and hair color. It worked with Ralph and Penelope, but they're completely different. I got it to work with Dipper and Pacifica, although not as well. I'm continuing to look for more characters that I can do this with.
