I now have a Ko-fi for those that'd like to support my projects. While nothing there will remain exclusive, you'll get more substantial progress updates each month, and access to my own non-AI images at higher tiers.
Model description:
This is an attempt at an all-in-one lora for generating the monster girls of MGE, which allows for extensive customisation and feature-mixing. Refer to these articles for more information. Not everything works perfectly, so good results may require a bit of experimentation at times.
For updates on future versions, I generally post what I'm working on in my profile's announcement tab. It'll probably be MGE-related, but in addition to this one I occasionally make standalone concept-loras for monsters that would benefit from having one.
Background info:
"MGE" Refers to the monster girl encyclopedia book series by Kenkou Cross. For more information, see the MGE wiki here.
Additionally, while I'm not affiliated with them, the wiki recently opened donations so you can donate here if you'd like. They have a $12/month upkeep cost apparently, so I'm sure they'd appreciate the generosity. Be sure to mention where you got the link from too, for the model's sake :).
"Non-entertainment" usage:
Any "commercial projects" must be transformative, so no posting your results to Patreon and asking for money. Using it as part of a larger project is fine though, and I'm happy to help if you reach out with questions, or simply to tell me an interesting use-case you have. Bear in mind that if you're creating stuff linked to MGE specifically, they must also adhere to the creator of MGE's terms here.
Actual artists:
If any artists dislike the idea of their stuff being used for this (and you've drawn things from MGE), let me know and I'll avoid your work. I haven't done this preemptively due to the huge number of dead source links in the archive, but if you reach out (with some proof of identity to avoid trolls) I'll remove any of your content from my dataset/s.
Reuploads:
If you reupload this, please link both this model page and my taglist for ease of use. I'd also appreciate you letting me know where you've uploaded it, so I can keep track of where it's being used.
Description
All of the changes from the Pony version of V5.2 apply, plus a few more minor changes. (I didn't want to spend an extra 4000-ish buzz on a retrain for the other version, but future versions should be identical.)
Differences from V5.2 Pony:
General Illustrious vs Pony observations:
Generally much more consistent, but in my experience requires more specific details to look good. I normally have to specify things like eye colour, facial expressions, arm positions and similar things with Illustrious to get a decent image, whereas Pony generally gives you decent ones with or without specification. With them though, the end result is almost always better with Illustrious.
Some styles work better with one, some with the other, although performance will vary with the specific model used regardless. Below is a list of all the styles that worked for each model. For Illustrious I used "NTR mix XIII" for testing, and for Pony I used "WAI-ANI-NSFW V12". (Mostly repeats, sorry. I can't change the colour of text in model updates, which is what I would've done to show version compatibility)
Illustrious:
MGE artstyle
CG artstyle
Merunyaa artstyle
Monorus artstyle
Barbariank artstyle
Sketch
Lineart
Pixel art
Pony:

Dataset changes (from V5.2 Pony):
Lilim horns aren't (as) broken this time, I removed too many images from the other version's dataset.
The "extremely long tongue" the karakasa-obake has been changed to "one tentacle" instead, and uses things like "loose tentacle hug" where appropriate. It still doesn't work to the extent I'd like, but the core features at-least appear now.
Separated a few species' ears using "floppy animal ears", where before things like "dog ears", "pig ears" and so on only used "animal ears".
Added "thick hair" to many of the slime girls, to give a bit more control over the hair design.

Very nice... Can i used this model for my commercial projects like games?
Uhhh... Honestly, I have no idea about legalities if that's the main concern, although I'd assume it's a no as I don't own the data... something you don't make money from would probably be fine, like a free fangame or something, but I'm not getting involved in any copyright disputes, so I can't encourage making anything you'd profit from.
Plus, a lot of the source links for the images I used in the datasets are dead, so I couldn't ask many of the artists for permission either. You'd probably be best off asking the creator of MGE about AI content, as AFAIK the creator of an IP gets copyright ownership of fanart and stuff, but even then I'm not 100% sure.
@Blizzard264 Okay....
Sorry to hear about the issues raised over this from That One Guy.
It's not a big issue, I just thought it'd be better to have a disclaimer in the description than have people ask and be disappointed. As much as I like the technology, I'm not a fan of the people that immediately try to make money from it...
This is a great model. It is very friendly to the other models. I'm happy I found it, and thank you for creating it. I was able to create a scene that I was struggling with on other models. I hope you enjoy Amanita, Mycia, and Virosa. This will be my go-to for monster girl creations. There was a tiny bit of trouble with hands and fingers. I feel that is the same with all models though. Also, thanks for the information on the Monster Girl Encyclopedia.
V5.2 seems to be worse at generating liliraunes. While the previous version consistently gave both girls green skin, this one always draws one of the girls with normal human skin tones.
I'll look into it, what prompt/s have you been using?
@Blizzard264 Basically the same as this: https://civitai.com/images/46451639
@JAS2023 I see what you mean, I guess I just got lucky in testing (most of it was done on the Pony version, which seems to work fine). I'll keep it in mind for V5.3, although I might make a separate lora for the plant girls before then as they're all quite inconsistent.
I did find that "twins" helps somewhat, as does using "pink skin" as a negative (I initially thought it could be a conflict with the hair colour). It's still very inconsistent, but I've had a few proper generations with it.
Actually having two girls would be better if you write what skin color they both have. And the problem of one having normal skin color has existed since the previous version and it's just a proportional issue with how the AI works :v
absolutely goated
also functions nicely as a style lora without using specific MGE related tags, blending very well with standard artist tags (i forgot to turn it off for a while and liked the effect)
How dare you create such a wonderful and epic model....
and thank you!
Naiseeeeoooo
I bought the English hardcover version of encyclopedia 1&2 in 2017, and it has been my favorite virtual academic story for 8 years. I dare say that the lora you trained is the highest masterpiece for monster girl lovers, and I sincerely express my gratitude and support to you.
I have to ask, this lora is seemingly used a lot as a general style mix in some of the images that get posted down below. I mostly use it for the monster girl parts but what does mixing in this lora do if you're not using it for monster girls? Is it just adding in style from mge adjacent artists?
No idea, honestly. I've had a couple of people say it applies a nice artstyle by default, but that isn't intended, just a side-effect. There's toggle-able artstyles, but I rarely see them get used.
I have a feeling most of the images are from bots. They don't use any of the tags, so I assume they haven't looked at the taglist at all.
@Blizzard264 Yeah, barring some specific evidence I have to assume it's cargo culting/copy paste remixing. Because I have to assume the base model does more than whatever this Lora does for non-monster girl additions save for maybe basing anime style to look more hentai-ish.
My personal opinion is, it wouldn't be different if it weren't for the monster-girl details.
Well, sometimes, I'll forget to install this lora but most of the time the results aren't that different. There will actually be a little bit of anime style but only a little, it can be increased by just adding "anime style" in the prompt.
The most stable and obvious effect is in a few cases like zombie girl (won't be changed to horror style), lamia, dragon, scales...
@BeeZ333 So just further proof that it's some kind of cargo culting/copy paste remixing? Presumably some base image used monster girl tags in an artstyle mix and now this lora is just part of that artstyle mix even when making non-monster women.
@Ashenparty Yeah :v just some re-mix
I do use this lora to create creative content related to the Kenkou-style encyclopedia, but I do find that most of the content in the works area is not related to the encyclopedia. Maybe someone made a "stable diffusion lazy integration package" or something like that that includes this lora? Then those who downloaded it didn't know the real purpose of this lora, so they used it in a muddle. Sigh.
Sadly happens to a lot of Loras. I've started to block content that totally fails to show off the intention like that by now. I might miss some nice Pieces in future, but I rather have useful generations in galleries.
