Is their a reason you suggested this? The new Lora is smaller in size (half the size) and doesn't the dim/alpha efffect how deeply the Lora is learned? I understand lowering it a bit but isn't that to low? Or was it really high for the first one? Hope this doesn't come across negative as I'm genuinely asking and love your Lora's as well. I want to get the best Lora for her but now I don't know which one to get now. Have you had a chance to test them to see which one is better?

@Lancelot69lol no its not low ;) for ponyxl its plenty enough. Unlike sd1.5 where enough would be 16/8. XL holds data much better, there's no loss in quality at 8/4.

I actually found the 16/8 version to perform better in finer details.

@psnp depends on a scheduler you use too, adamwbit8 trains so much slower that 16/8 might work better, however if you train with faster CAME/Rex scheduler 8/4 is enough (needs less steps too). From my own tests, from a few other ppls tests such as novowels, FallenIncursio and other top creators, 16/8 isn't necessary for anime characters aka simple characters

@psnp  I also found it better as well, same for his new Shino model. I tested both versions for them. Guess it depends on the other training parameters and just how much detail you want and how complex the characters are.

@Lancelot69lol just on the other settings, same details are preserved with the stuff i mentioned... anime characters are super simple compared to realistic models

@LittleJelly That's true anime is way simpler than realistic so they don't need as high learning rate for training but I did test them and honestly when it came to the details on her school uniform it was more accurate on alpha 16, I would be interested to know the results from you testing it.

No worries if you don't want to test them though, it's all about learning how to use/train Lora after all. Whatever settings we find work best is what we should use.
